They can even pay with cash. All-in-One means Poynt is a credit and debit terminal, a full featured POS system, and a cash register with a built in receipt printer. Integrity Business Partners introduces you to POYNT.
Payment cards that comply with the EMV standard are often called Chip and PIN or Chip and Signature cards, depending on the authentication methods employed by the card issuer. EMV stands for Europay, MasterCard, and Visa, the three companies that originally created the standard.
The biggest benefit of EMV is the reduction in card-present card fraud resulting from counterfeit, lost and stolen cards. EMV also provides interoperability with the global payments infrastructure – consumers with EMV chip payment cards can use their card on any EMV-compatible payment terminal. Processing with an EMV terminal will also avoid unnecessary chargebacks to your business.
What is PCI and DSS Compliance?
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards designed to ensure that ALL companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.
Not sure if your business is compliant? If you enrolled and completed a certified PCI Compliance questionnaire or service, you should have received documentation stating that you are compliant. While most processors will send out an online questionnaire to complete your PCI compliance, there are services that will do a more comprehensive certification and inspection. PCI compliance is mandatory and should be renewed annually.
